This half day training course enables participants to effectively manage the scope and requirements of a project. As part of the project management “Triple Constraint”, Scope is often the most challenging element of the Triple Constraint to manage. In this class, participants will take part in group exercises and case studies that will equip them with the skills they need to properly manage the Scope of a project. In this course participants will learn to determine the business need that is driving a project and construct a business case and project charter for the project. They will learn to construct a project scope statement based on customer high level requirements and define detailed project scope by using the “use case” and “user story” methodologies. Then a thorough work breakdown structure (WBS) will be constructed and customer acceptance criteria will be acquired as a basis for delivery and sign-off with scope verification.
